Gurugram Police solved Sukhbir Khatana's murder case and arrested one shooter.
On 1.09.2022, an information was received at Civil Lines police station Gurugram, that a person has been shot at Raymond Showroom opposite Aggarwal Dharamshala in Sadar Bazar. The person was taken to Aarvy hospital, and later succumbed to injuries.
Police team reached the hospital, where the victim Sukhbir's son Anurag gave a written complaint that his father Sukhbir Singh was a political figure, who had been former vice chairman of Sohna market committee and was active in politics in Sohna area. He said that his father and his father's cousin, Rajender Patwari, had gone to a showroom in Sadar Bazar to purchase clothes. Around 3.30 pm, he received information from Rajender that 4-5 men had shot Sukhbir in the showroom. He reached the hospital and saw that his father had sustained gunshots in head and chest and died of injuries. He said in the complaint that his father had married twice and that relations between his father and his brother-in-law Chaman were not good. The complainant said that due to this enmity, Chaman along with his associates murdered Sukhbir. Police had registered a case under relevant sections and began a probe.
The crime branch of sector 31 led by Insp. Anand Kumar arrested one accused - Yogesh alias Sillu (22), a native of Rajasthan, in the case from DLF phase-1 on Sunday. During interrogation, he said that he had carried out the shooting at Chaman's behest, who held enmity with Sukhbir. He said Chaman had provided them weapons and along with Chaman and his associates, the shooting was carried out.
The accused will be produced in district court and taken on remand for further questioning.
