Dandiya Dance Night in Gurugram Mount Olympus school with collaboration of Alka Dalal



 “The greatness of a culture can be seen in its festivals.”

Showcasing the rich Indian culture, a fun and buoyant evening of Dandiya Raas with fusion music, Garba workshop, kids’ zone, shopping and different scrumptious cuisine stalls was part of the Dandiya Dance Night organised by Mount Olympus School, Sector 47, Gurgaon on 1st  October 2022 in the school premises. Event was organised in partnership with Ms. Alka Dalal , a social worker and advocate, founder of Swayam Siddha Organisation and  was preceded by the honourable Chief Guest Ms. Sudha Yadav, a former member of Lok Sabha, Member of BJP Parliamentary board and Senior Deputy Mayor Mrs. Pramila Gaje Kablana. The guests of honour were welcomed by various presidents of RWAs of ward no.29-Mr. Rakesh Sachdeva, Mrs. Richa, Mr. D.B.Mishra, Mr. Rajkumar, Mr. Vijay Shiv Nath, Mr. Padam Sahu, Mr. Shiv Bhambhu,Mr. Ashok Gulia, Col. Sharma, Mrs. Rubal, Mr. Abhimanyu Mittal, Mr. Navneet, Mrs. Suman Hooda, Mr. Vinod Dahiya



More than two thousand people registered for the event .All the participants gathered in the school in colourful traditional attires. The children and parents accompanied by teachers, very enthusiastically, danced on the beats and tunes of ‘Dandiya’. People in pursuit of a refreshing break from their hectic daily schedule, enjoyed the evening with total freedom which  generated immense fun and frolic. 



Awards were given for Best Dressed Mom and  Dad , Awesome Dance group , Best Dance Male, Female and Couple , Best Boy of the Night, Garba Girl of the Night categories. These awards were given by the Chief Guest Ms. Alka Dalal, honourable Chairman Mr. D. S. Saini , Vice Chairman Mr. Jasbir Saini , Mr. Arjun Saini , Principal Ms. Alpana Bawejaa, Vice Principal Ms. Manisha Khanna , Ms. Akansha , Ms. Monieka Khanna and the sponsors. Total two thousand prizes were given to the ecstatic winners. It was a magnificent evening well spent with the loved ones , while enjoying the festive fervour with appetizing food and shopping binge . The event was very well organised and evolved as a blasting success.
