Culprits who shot at collection agent in robbery bid near Galleria market arrested by Gurugram Police.
On 09.11.2022, an information was received at the control room about a shooting near Galleria market. Police teams rushed to the spot immediately. The victim stated that he works with a private company as a cash collecting agent. He collected cash (over Rs 4.29) from several shops in Galleria market and was on the way to Super mart on his motorcycle. At around 3 PM, he was going with bag containing cash to another location to collect cash, when he reached a lane near Galleria market, three unidentified men who were on motorcycle intercepted him and tried to snatch his bag but when he refused to let go of the bag, they fired two gunshots at him. He was unhurt in the incident. An FIR was registered under relevant sections in Police Station DLF Sector-29, Gurugram.
A Police team led by Insp. Kuldeep Singh Incharge Crime branch DLF phase-4 Gurugram arrested Sudeep (27 yrs), Dhruv @ Pradeep (30 yrs), Vinay (28 yrs) and Anant (28 yrs) from sarhaul village on Sunday.
On interrogation, they revealed that all of them are residents of the same village. Accused Sudeep and Dhruv alias Pradeep are brothers. Sudeep works at a grocery store in Galleria Market and victim used to collect cash from that store. Sudeep was aware that the victim collects huge amount daily from several shops. Sudeep his brother Dhruv and his accomplices planned to rob the cash collection agent. As per plan, they bought 02 country-made pistols and 07 live cartridges from Uttar Pradesh. Sudeep borrowed motorcycle from his friends living in Mathura and committed this incident.
They will be produced before the court to seek remand for further investigation. Probe is underway.
