Gurugram, 25 December . Shri Vishwakarma skill University has created a new record of success. The University has been awarded the Good Governance Award in the Integrated Dual Education Model category. Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal Khattar felicitated this award to the Vice Chancellor Mr. Raj Nehru on the occasion of Good Governance Day. The Chief Minister appreciated the working style and vision of Shri Vishwakarma skill University and Vice Chancellor Shri Raj Nehru. Registrar Prof. RS Rathaur, Dean Academics Prof. Jyoti Rana, Prof. Suresh Kumar, Prof. Nirmal Singh, Prof. Ranjit Singh and Prof. Ashish Srivastava came with him to receive the award and certificates were given to all.Shri Vishwakarma skill University is continuously leaping high in the sky of success. In this episode, the Good Governance Award has also been registered in the name of the country's first skill university. The Vice Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University Shri Raj Nehru dedicated the award to the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Manohar Lal Khattar, under which the first skill university in the country came into existence. Shri Nehru said that being the founder Vice-Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma skill University , I feel extremely proud that in such a short span of time, the University was able to get the Good Governance Award. He said that all this has been possible due to major changes in the education structure, new experiments and inclusion of innovation. On the basis of technology, skill and innovation, Shri Vishwakarma skill University has carved a distinct identity on the national stage.V
ice-Chancellor Shri Raj Nehru said that Shri Vishwakarma Skill University has innovatively created a dual education model. This is totally unique system, in which not only can earn while studying but can also study along with job. We brought industry and education together. Not only this, Shri Vishwakarma skill University has set new paradigms on the concept of on-the-job training. Skill University has made integration a practice of success. Industry integration is like a success mantra for the university. This is the culmination of good governance. Not only this, the university has prepared a unique model from KG to PG, in which skill courses are being conducted through innovative feeder schools. The efforts of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University are paying off. So far, more than 65% placement is proof of this. New avenues of employment are being paved.
Shri Raj Nehru informed that the university has coordination with 72 renowned industries of the country, in which students also undergo training during their course. Apart from this, the university has started working on the concept of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), in which academic qualifications will be given to students with experience who have learned a lot through their skills, but do not have a degree. The University is making several achievements under the National Skill Qualification Framework. The university has worked out 34 such dimensions which will be included in different courses. The University has designed short term skilling and internships based on industry demand driven.
