T-20 Cricket match was organised between Income Tax department Vs. ICAI Gurugram

08/04/2023 : Income Tax department  Vs. ICAI Gurugram.

A T-20 Cricket match was organised at Tau Devilal Cricket Stadium, Sector 38, Gurugram under the aegis of “Khelo Inida” and as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” between Income Tax department Vs. ICAI Gurugram.  The cricket ground had been well prepared to mark the occasion and the audience stands were packed to capacity. The event started with flag hosting by Sh. Pratap Singh, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Gurugram followed by team photograph and introduction of the players. 

The toss was won by the Income Tax Department who decided to bowl first. The ICAI set a target of 135 runs in 20 overs for the Income Tax Department to win.  Sh. Subhash Yadav made 48 run and Sh. Sumit took 2 wickets   in the in1st inning. The Gurugram Branch won the match by 65 runs. Capital of ICAI Gurugram Sh. Rajiv Dagar took 5 wickets & CA Vipul Jain took 3 wickets in the in 2st inning. Sh. Rajiv Dagar was top wicket takers and man of the match. Sh. Pratap Singh, Pr CIT & CA Amit Gupta Chairman ICAI Gurugram gave away the trophy to the winning team and the Man of the Match award, best batsman award, best bowler award.  The team players were also given medal to appreciate their efforts.  

Sh. Pratap Singh, PCIT, Sh. Amit Gupta, CA, Chairman, Gurugram Branch of NIRC of ICAI, Jitender Yadav, CA, Treasurer ICAI Gurugram Branch and other senior officer of department and Chartered Accountant were among the dignitaries present on the occasion. The memorable event came to a close with an inspiring speech by the Shri Pratap Singh and the Vote of Thanks by Amit Gupta, CA, Chairman.
