Major anti-encroachment drive conducted by GMDA along Sector 92/95 master dividing road
Encroachment in sectors 81-95 will also be cleared
Gurugram, 20 March 2025*: The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has been conducting regular anti-encroachment drives through-out the city and demolished illegal and unauthorized structures developed on the green belts, footpaths and master roads of the Authority.
Various complaints have been received from citizens pertaining to rampant encroachment along the master sector roads of sectors 81-95.
Taking cognizance of these complaints, DTP GMDA R.S. Batth along with officers of the Enforcement Wing and 50 police personnel today conducted an enforcement drive and cleared the various locations encroached along the master dividing road of sector 92/95. During the drive 10 jhuggies, one restaurant, a dhaba, kabadi shop, water tank and illegal paved parking spot were demolished. Several land owners reached on spot and sought time to remove the house hold items and other materials which were illegally stocked on the Government land. DTP GMDA further instructed the violators that the 84-meter-wide sector road of sector 92/95 which stands acquired shall also be cleared by them and made free of any encroachment.
It was also found that few locals had also set up temporary hutments and were collecting rents from the inhabitants. Directions were issued to clear these unauthorised huts and also against installation or setting up of any vending carts on the roads.
“GMDA Enforcement Wing will reach each and every corner of Gurugram for clearing the encroachment and making the city clean. The complaints received from public on CM Window Portal and other platforms will be taken on top priority and strict action will be enforced on ground,” said DTP GMDA.
Recently, over 60 acres of green belts along Southern Peripheral Road and Golf Course Extension Road were cleared by GMDA to facilitate safe traffic movement and restore the green belts. Other key locations such as Krishna chowk and Wazirabad chowk among others have also been made encroachment-free.
