Gurugram, December 12, 2025.

Vikram Singh, Managing Director of the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam, chaired the ORC review meeting of the Delhi Operation Zone at the local Hetri House in Gurugram today. The meeting extensively discussed various aspects related to the Corporation's operational parameters, consumer services, development plans, and functioning.


The Managing Director specifically reviewed the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana and directed that the benefits of this scheme be ensured to reach every consumer in a timely manner.

He instructed officials to ensure that there should be no delay in promoting solar energy, creating awareness among consumers, and issuing new solar connections.


He informed that subsidies will be provided to beneficiaries adopting solar energy on time, and Antyodaya families will also be provided this benefit.  Emphasizing the timely availability of net meters for new solar connections, he directed the government to encourage reliable vendors to supply quality materials. He also warned of action against vendors charging more than the prescribed price.


Under the Surya Ghar Yojana, over 20,250 solar connections have been issued in the corporation area so far, with the highest number of 4,191 connections being issued in the Rewari circle. The Managing Director commended this initiative and stressed the need for other circles to act with similar urgency.


The meeting included a detailed review of the replacement of tilted poles, installation of meters at the appropriate height, line losses, AT&C losses, recovery, action against power theft, transformer damage rates, repair work, the status of pending new connections, the 'Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon' scheme, pending work of the CBO wing, audit half margin reports, billing, maintenance, and other operational standards.


The Managing Director directed the officials to ensure prompt and quality resolution of consumer complaints by improving the work as per all standards and increase proactiveness for uninterrupted power supply.


Operation Director Vipin Gupta, Chief Engineer (Commercial) Anil Sharma, Chief Engineer (Operation) V.K. Aggarwal, Superintending Engineer S.K. Singh, CBO Virendra Lamba, IT Jaideep Phogat, Monitoring Manoj Yadav, Store Controller S.S. Kantura along with senior officials of the Corporation Headquarters were present in the meeting. All the Superintending Engineers of Delhi Operation Zone including Shyamveer Saini of Gurugram-1, Manoj Yadav of Gurugram-2, Jitendra Dhull of Faridabad, Ranjan Rao of Palwal, P.K. Chauhan of Rewari and Joginder Hooda of Narnaul, PRO Sanjay Chugh along with all the Executive Engineers also attended.
