JITO (JAIN INTERNATIONAL TRADE ORGANISATION) is a unique multi-stakeholder community of visionaries which include Jain Industrialists, Businessmen & Professionals who share a commitment to shape the future of the community and society at large.
JITO New Delhi Chapter’ hosted the Ahimsa Run at ‘Jawahar Lal Nehru Stadium at 05.30am on 31st March, 2024’ where over 8000 runners participated. The run included four established categories 21 km, 10km, 5km and 3km for friends, families and children. It was open to people of all ages, genders and communities. The 21KM & 10KM runs were timed run and cash prizes were given to the winning participants totalling to more than Rupees 3 lakh.
The marathon was ‘Flagged off by Running Icon and Actor Milind Soman and Fitness Enthusiast and Actress Mandira Bedi. The run has got blessings and support from many Bollywood Celebrities and Politicians across India. By presenting non-violence through this event, JITO hopes to inspire individuals and communities to embrace peace.
JITO pan India organised the ‘Ahimsa Run on 31st March, 2024 in 100+cities globally, where 125,000+ participants ran at the same time, same day to promote ‘AHIMSA’. ‘This is the largest run for peace and non-violence, that is organised with a moto of ‘Live and Let Live’.
The ‘Ahimsa Marathon’ represents a powerful statement in the pursuit of a better world with compassion and kindness towards all beings.
