-GMDA Enforcement Wing takes action against RMC plants
-Illegal entries/accesses of three plants were closed and 72 hours given to clear green belts, clean road and drain
Gurugram, 17 March 2025: The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority had recently issued notices to four RMC plants which were operational on Sector Dividing Road of Sector-112/114 and Sector Dividing Road of Sector-78/79A for making illegal accesses on the master roads of GMDA. During the inspection visits that were carried out by GMDA officers, it had been found that GMDA had constructed the said roads about 1 year back, and these RMC Plants have taken illegal access from sector dividing roads without any due permission. These RMC Plants were running within residential/Commercial Zones of Development Plan of GMUC-2031 AD.
Additionally, the roads developed by GMDA were found to be severely damaged by the tippers and the slurry spilling on the roads was also leading to dust pollution. Shri. R.S. Batth, DTP GMDA had issued notices to these RMC plant Owners by giving them 48 hours to explain their position in reference to the Access Permissions, if any, obtained by them.
*Today DTP GMDA, R.S. Batth along with the Enforcement Wing of GMDA reached the sites wherein the entry and exit points of three RMC plants have been stopped by way of digging the area in front of these plants.*
*Strong directions have been issued to the concerned to clear the green belt and road area as well as to ensure that the roads and the drain which have been blocked by the RMC Plants are to be cleaned within 72 hours. It was instructed that no trucks or material loaded vehicles should ply on the road and in green belts.*
DTP GMDA also outlined that the required CLU permissions will be gotten checked from MCG, in the absence of which, action on closing such plants will be taken.
DTP GMDA during his visit to Sector 112 also found that many people have kept building material on the green belts without any permission. He made announcements to vacate the within 10 to 15 days and those operating on private land must either obtain permission for stocking of material or else face strict action.
DTP GMDA led the Enforcement team comprising ATPs Satender, Mangeram, JE Sumit Boora, Kuldeep, Mandeep Chikkara, Sumit Gulia, Paramjeet along with patwaris Aman and Jai Bhagwan from the Urban Division.
“CEO GMDA has clearly directed to take action on such illegal accesses being done on GMDA roads. Genuine complaints have been received from the residents and we will take strict action for making the environment better. Those who have already taken permission need to follow environment guidelines. 72 hours have been given to the violators to clear all green belts and road stretches for ease of traffic and no illegal access will be tolerated,” said R.S. Batth.
