- CEO GMDA chaired the 17th Coordination Meeting; Inter-department matters pertaining to HSVP, MCG and MCM discussed

- Directives issued to work cohesively and expedite resolution of on-ground hindrances to accelerate progress of ongoing works

Gurugram, June 25:  Shri Shyamal Misra, Chief Executive Officer, Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) today chaired the 17th Coordination Meeting in GMDA office, wherein various issues and matters requiring inter-department coordination and action were discussed. Present in the meeting were Administrator Haryana Shehri Vikas Paradhikaran (HSVP) Vaishali Singh, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Gurugram Pradeep Dahiya, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Manesar Ayush Sinha and senior officers of GMDA, MCG and MCM.


CEO GMDA emphasized that coordination of all departments is integral to accelerate the ongoing infra development works being taken up in the city by all concerned local authorities. He added that resolution of any hindrance in projects related to laying water supply, drainage and sewerage infrastructure along with development of roads must be expedited at the earliest. 

Administrator HSVP said that all cases pertaining to land acquisition/missing links which have been put up by GMDA to HSVP are being taken up on utmost priority in order to expedite the projects being undertaken by the Authority for boosting infrastructure pertaining to roads, water supply, drainage and sewerage. It was also added that possession of land pockets along sectors 71/73, 88/89 and 62/65 master dividing roads which were long posing as missing links have also been handed over to GMDA by HSVP after resolution of the matters in court. 


To resolve the issue pertaining to illegal discharge of sewage of sector 42 into creek 1, it was informed by Commissioner MCG that the work of laying the internal sewer line has been completed and MCG will soon complete its connection with the master sewer line of GMDA. Additionally, the Corporation has also floated the tender for laying the sewerage system of Villages Kadarpur, Behrampur and Ullahawas to curb the discharge of sewage on the master roads of GMDA. 


Commissioner MCM said that work of laying sewer line of approx. 200 meters length upto existing sewer line laid by HSVP on sector 86/89 dividing road is nearing completion and will be connected with the drain laid by HSIIDC to resolve the issue of sewer overflow from Villages in the vicinity. 


CEO GMDA asked Commissioner MCG to ensure that all boosting stations under MCG must be commissioned and made operational, along with disconnection of direct and illegal connections made on the GMDA or MCG master water supply pipelines, to ensure equitable, controlled and regulated supply of potable water in the city. He said that joint visits must be done by the concerned officers of both departments to gauge the efficiency of the boosting stations and UGTs. 


CEO GMDA asked MCG to strengthen its sanitation operations to keep the underpasses and city roads free of debris, especially during the monsoon season to further prevent clogging of the drainage infrastructure of the city.
