Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Jacobpura, Hosts Successful 10-Day Peace Education Program for Teacher Empowerment


Gurugram। Rekha Vaishnav: The 10-day Peace Education Program was successfully completed at Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School, Jacobpura, Gurgaon from 29th August to 12th September . A total of *30 teachers* who completed the program were awarded certificates in the presence of the school Principal, Sh. Sushil Kumar Kanwa.



The program was organized by *The Prem Rawat Foundation (TPRF)* with the dedicated support of TPRF volunteers including Smt. Roshni Devi (respected social worker and mother of former MLA, Late Sh. Rakesh Daultabad), along with Rajdeep Tyagi (Board Advisor), Dharmender Gupta, Shyam Babul, Raksh Arora, Lalit Kumar, Amit Ranjan, Manisha Malik, Keshav Sharma, and Savita Gupta.


Principal Sh. Sushil Kumar Kanwa expressed his heartfelt gratitude, describing the program as deeply meaningful and empowering for the teachers. He said, “This program will not only enrich our teachers but also positively influence their families, students, and society at large. On 5th September, Teachers’ Day, we celebrated together with the TPRF team and felicitated 40 teachers of our school by presenting them with the books ‘Hear Yourself’, ‘Swayam ki Awaaz’ and ‘Swaans’ authored by international peace educator Prem Rawat, whose writings and talks inspire millions around the world to discover inner peace.”


He further highlighted, “The National Education Policy (NEP 2020) places teachers at the center of educational transformation, giving them utmost respect and recognition. By enabling teachers to go through the Peace Education Program, we are complementing NEP’s vision and helping educators experience a transformation that has already impacted lives globally.”


Smt. Roshni Devi remarked, “Teachers are the true creators of our nation’s future as they nurture our children. When teachers recognize their inner resources such as clarity, dignity, and choice, they build a strong foundation of self-empowerment that transforms themselves and the environment around them.”


This program aligns with the spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020). Its objective is to foster socio-emotional competencies in teachers and students. It also strengthens Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as mentioned in section 5.15, playing an active role in enhancing professional skills and holistic personality development of teachers.


The Peace Education Program, developed by TPRF, is an experiential and self-discovery-based initiative that inspires individuals to recognize and consciously embrace their inner strengths.
